AD | Celebrate Mother’s Day this year with Rosemood!

I’ve only seen my Mum once in 6 months – we had Christmas Day together, although that in itself was strange, trying to socially distance in your own home from your own parents was a very different Christmas! I’m sure lots of you feel the same and are apart from loved ones too – it’s been a strange and hard year without seeing our friends and family, so I felt like I wanted to make Mother’s Day this year extra special to show my Mum we are still thinking of her, even though we are far apart.

I went online and created my Mum a beautiful photo book from Rosemood Atelier. They are a French company that specialise in creating gorgeous wedding and baby stationery, as well as elegant personalised photobooks. Their aim is to “to spread joy with high-quality products to help customers celebrate and immortalise the happy occasions in their lives” which is exactly what I hoped to do this Mothers Day.

I’m often put off creating photobooks as they can be so time consuming, but honestly, creating my book with Rosemood couldn’t have been easier. The online system makes things so easy – choosing which photos to use was the hardest part! Rosemood offer a wide range of photobooks, I went with a Printed Hardcover, but you can also opt for a Soft Cover or Fabric Hard Cover in different sizes to create the perfect look and feel for your photo book.

Once I’d added all my photos, there was an option for the system to auto-add all the photos into the book. I chose this option and was really pleased how the layout turned out! The auto-add created lots of different and interesting pages, some with just one photo, some with multiples that would have taken me a long time to create myself. It also seemed to group together similar photos (like from the same day out) so I had very limited editing to do. I just dragged and dropped the photos around until it looked and felt right, but the changes I needed to make were minimal! I’m not sure I’ve ever created a photobook so quickly!

Once through the editing stage of your photobook you can customise the front cover, adding and changing text to the front cover and making it your own. You can add text to the pages too, but I preferred to leave the photos to speak for themselves. Lastly, there is also a choice to print on Satin Photo Paper or Smooth Matte Finish.

As I checked out my order – I added a gorgeous gift box, which presents the book beautifully as well as keeping it safe for years to come as well.

I think my Mum will be so pleased with her book, I added lots of memories from Christmas this year as well as what the girls have been up to during lockdown as she’ll have missed so much. Looking back at photos just from the first lockdown, the girls have grown up so much, it’s lovely I’ve been able to capture these memories which we will keep forever.

As Mother’s Day is a double celebration in our house too, I also ordered V a little present as well. I wanted to remind her of our holiday to Cornwall in October 2020. We were so lucky to squeeze in a little trip between the lockdowns, we’ll always look fondly upon those times.

For our holiday photobook, I chose a  Soft Cover with Smooth Matte Paper for a different finish. It has more of a magazine vibe and is so lovely, the colours of the ocean just look beautiful and take me back to that crisp Cornwall sea air.

The last product in my order was a little treat for myself, after all – I’m a Mum too! I ordered myself some gorgeous prints of the girls last Nursery photos. They are printed on premium thick photo card, which doesn’t need to be framed, they are strong enough to stand up without bending and look so gorgeous on our shelves!

I really loved the selection of products at Rosemood Atelier, they are so stylish and sleek. They really bring the photos to life. I feel like I’ve made some memorable pieces we will keep forever, which in these uncertain times is more important than ever.
