I have to say I haven’t been wearing primer very long. I used to just slap my make-up straight on my skin, and then wonder all day why it would look so uneven – I had a lot to learn! After reading many, many beauty blogs, I discovered that the secret to flawless skin is to have a good primer. I was then on a mission to find the perfect primer for me and went out an bought a few different brands to try. After a few mediocre products and one that didn’t suit me at all, I’ve finally settled on the one for me – the brand new InstaBlur by The Body Shop, which is definitely my firm favourite.

Instablur is a clear, gel-like consistency that is best melted into the skin with the fingers. As the formula sinks into the skin it leaves such a silky-soft finish that is instantly noticeable and so amazingly perfect for make-up application afterwards. I did worry that it would be a little dry for my skin type, but it’s full of moisturising Fair-trade Marula Oil which keeps the skin hydrated without feeling shiny or greasy at all.
Since using Instablur, I have noticed that my make-up is more even and also lasts longer too. I love the soft matte finish on my skin and even use it on days I don’t wear foundation or BB cream for more even matte make-up free look. A firm favourite of mine and a very welcome addition to my daily make-up essentials. Highly recommended!
