Halloween seems to be getting bigger and bigger each year, so this time I was determined to get involved. I was shocked to hear V-man had never carved a pumpkin before, so I bought us two little pumpkins so we both would have a go without arguing over who is doing it/messing it up or the design. Vince chose to create a Nightmare before Christmas Style and began to scoop out his ‘insides’.
I was a bit indecisive at first, but eventually chose a Mexican Day of the Dead style, which was a little ambitious, but I gave it my best shot. I added the detail after carving with nail art pens, which worked really well. I think V-man’s pumpkin is the winner though, and it’s amazing it’s his first ever attempt. He’s a natural.
