Just recently I have been a little obsessed with The Body Shop, I’ve been using so many of their lovely products, and just love how they are 100% vegetarian, never tested on animals and made from the finest raw ingredients. I’ve even visited the site of the first ever Body Shop here in Brighton and been to the factory in Littlehampton. So yes, I’m a huge fan.
Anyway, combining my love for Body Shop and all things that shimmer I was excited to try a couple of products from their Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine range, which are perfect for the summer.
All-in-One BB Cream £12.00*
To be honest, I wasn’t sure about this product to start with. I went for 01 – Lighter Tones as I am fair skinned and was surprised to discover this cream is actually completely white! My initial thoughts were that I would have preferred something at least slightly tinted, especially in the summer when I want to achieve a sunkissed look. However upon application I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure if you can see in the pictures below, but the white cream is full of ‘pigment filled capsules’ – these burst when applied to the skin, adapting to the skin tone and blending perfectly… clever huh! I’ve found it is best applied with a sponge or foundation brush to get an even coverage, I then finish this with a dab of No.7 Perfect Light Loose Powder just to minimise any shine. I really like this product, it’s light and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised too – perfect for light summer make-up.

I’ve had my eye on this little beauty for a while now, I just love the mix of pinky, pearly iridescent tones. As my skin is so fair, it’s often tricky to buy a bronzer that isn’t too orange so this is ideal for me. I lightly sweep this over my cheekbones to finish my summer make-up and it gives a really subtle luminescent glow. As the colour is so light if I want to add a bit of colour I mix this with my blusher to give a bit more colour with added glow.
