5 Things I’ve learned about Blogging so far…

When I started this blog in December 2012, I thought it would just be my personal space of the internet to share pictures and what I’ve been up to with friends and family. I never thought it would turn into a massive part of my life and a huge hobby of mine. If I am honest I hadn’t done my homework, I just went onto Blogger and logged in, the rest is history. I have learnt SO much, my blog and the people around me have taught me so much.
Here are 5 things I have learnt about blogging that I had no idea of when I clicked the ‘publish’ button for the first time…
1. I will meet some amazing people…
I hoped to connect with other bloggers online, but never realised there was this amazing blogging community in real life too. I’ve met some lovely ladies in the Brighton area and made some great friends I now see regularly and keep in touch with almost daily. It’s the people that make the blogging experience, every comment, tweet and bit of contact means so much 🙂

2. Companies will spoil me rotten…
When I started blogging I didn’t even know PR companies and brands would get in touch to ask me to review products. When my first few bits came through I was so overjoyed, and still am to this day. I have had the opportunity to try some amazing brands I would never have heard of otherwise, it has really opened my eyes.

3. There is so much inspiration…
Since blogging I have stumbled across some truly inspirational blogs and people. My reading list is never boring and as a result of reading other blogs I’ve been inspired to try new things too, from fashion to a new restaurant in town to the latest beauty product.

4. Bloggers Events…
I have been lucky enough to be invited to a few Bloggers events now. My first was the Brighton Blogger Meet in April. I remember being so nervous and not knowing what to expect, but everyone was SO lovely and I made some great friends. I look forward to receiving emails about the next events as they are so much fun! I’m even thinking of starting my own ‘Bitch & Stitch’ club and inviting all my bloggy friends 🙂

5. It’s addictive…
In every situation of my life I am constantly thinking of my blog and thinking ‘how can I blog this?’… and of course I take pictures of everything, including meals, dresses, nails, shopping, my feet…. you name it, I photograph it. Luckily V-man has started to understand he must NOT touch his dinner until it has been photographed on a meal out, and I will frantically be typing up my review as soon as we get in. But I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love documenting my life, my loves and sharing it with such lovely people ♡
The classic dinner pose shot… I have many of these, different dinners! He loves it really 🙂
